Garage is now on 146 stations in 202 markets and just celebrated
it’s most successful year yet, with listenership jumping
25% to over 1.2 million listeners tuning in weekly. LSUG is

Entertainment
Weekly has featured a story about the Underground Garage’s
“sky-high” ratings, and according to Arbitron,
the show is doubling and tripling listenership in its time
slot. xIn New York City, the ratings quadrupled after the
show went on; in Boston, the ratings soared more than five
times; and in Memphis and Albany, more than six.
The
Underground Garage has also received unprecedented rave reviews
from the country’s leading music magazines and television
news shows. Rolling Stone Magazine called the radio show “mind-blowingly
great,” adding that, “Quite simply, Underground
Garage is the most exciting thing to happen on Rock and Roll
radio in years.” MTV named Little Steven “the
coolest DJ in the country, a proud throwback to the late-night
hipster jocks of long-gone 1960s and ‘70s FM radio.”
The unprecedented coverage in major music magazines, celebrity
magazines, radio trades, record industry trades, advertising
trades, wire service stories, high profile websites (MTV.com,
VH1.com, People.com), national and local dailies, national
and local weeklies, and national television easily surpasses
that of any music-oriented radio show in the country.
